Featured as one of the 24 finalists in front of a national audience of over 3 million viewers was the stunning Dominika Lipinska. More about the winners and the Festival of Beauty later…

With the Miss Polski 2010 Final looming….Dominika Lipinska writes to us from Plock…
25th August…
Today we had a general rehearsal at the Amphitheatre in Plock, where the Final takes place on Sunday 29th.
As I am writing all the girls are at a soccer match supporting the local Plock team and where we have been treated very well with giftbags and supper laid on by our Hosts……GO PLOCK GO!!!!
Yesterday we did a small Gala Show in Witkowo ( a beautiful beach town - 2 hours drive from Plock). The organisers had set up a stage on the beach ( perfect weather in Poland by the way) and all contestants presented themselves on the catwalk. We all talked a little bit about ourselves on the microphone with the MC. It was a great atmosphere..the sun…DJ playing loud music…and all the traditional Polish cafes/restaurants along the beachfront…heaps of people… drinking beer…eating ice creams….market stalls and kids playgrounds around the whole complex. The organisers said there was around 5000 people there.
The chefs cooked us a special lunch and afterwards we had an impromptu “Miss Witkowo” Contest in which I wore a Leiela dress kindly provided by Lucy Laurito as our Miss Polonia-Australia sponsor.
Initially I managed to get into the Top 10…then came the questions.
“Why should you be our Miss Witkowo?’…
I answered ” I fit right in here… just like in Australia, the beach is my second home. I could only promote this town in the best possible way as I feel great in this atmosphere!”….Well that got me into the Top 5…didn’t win …but it was a lot of fun.
We got back to our hotel after another 2 hour drive then had another quick choreography rehearsal at 10.30pm…Big day, but a great day…We all crashed as soon as we got back to our rooms….Love Dominika.
21st August.. Miss Polonia Australia Dominika Lipinska writes ….
On the bus to Plock at the moment which is a 2 hours bus trip from the Hotel.
Last night.. well this morning actually..The Miss Polski girls checked into our new hotel in Ciechocinek at around 1.30 am, unpacked, not much shut-eye before wake up call this morning at 4.45am to be ready for Hair and MakeUp by 5.00am.
When we arrive in Plock we will doing a bikini catwalk and dance routine at a major shopping plaza in front of a live audience, media and filmed by POLSAT - the national broadcaster for Sunday night’s Miss Polski Final.
Had a really good day yesterday as it has all become very real for me now that the Final is around the corner..only 8 days away….preparation is being fine tuned and loving the dance routines we are learning for the Show.
We have a lot of fun at practice and I feel like a sister to many of the girls…not all…but many!..hehehe.
Received a couple of modeling offers also from agents which is exciting but have tried to put that in the back of my mind because all I want to do is concentrate on Miss Polski.
The weather is perfect….its’ a beautiful Polish summer !! …I love it here!….Dominika xoxox

19th August….
So glad you received the photos with Kasia Kozakiewicz…she was fantastic to work with and feel so privileged to have met her. Fancy me working out with a World Champ!!!!
Well…we have all been busy since we arrived in Wieliczka. We are staying at a beautiful Five Star Hotel. Swimming pool, massages, delicious healthy food…the whole lot!
Apart from the 24 Miss Polski girls and the 48 Miss Polski Nastolatek girls (Miss Poland Teen) there are another 70 girls from all around the world here to compete for the Miss Supranational Final.
All three pageants are part of the Festiwal Piekna (Festival of Beauty) which will culminate on 3 consecutive evenings Friday 27th August (Miss Poland Teen), Saturday 28th (Miss Supranational) and Sunday 29th (Miss Polski) in the Amphitheatre in Plock, Poland.
First day at “Beauty Boot Camp” we had photo sessions all day in bikinis and cocktail dresses. The weather has become really hot again following the rains and floods in Poland. Days 2 and 3 involved more photoshoots, exercise sessions and small dance routines. This was all filmed by POLSAT who will telecast the Miss Polski Final live throughout Poland from 8.00pm on the 29th.
This morning I woke up an hour before breakfast to go for a quick workout on a cross-trainer and a swim in the Hotel pool…grateful to World Champ Kasia for the good habits…then we had dance choreography at 9.00am, a small break for lunch, then back to dance practice till dinner. We had a profile to fill out and I am now at a fitting for one of the dresses we will be dancing in on stage during the Final.
I share a room with the same girls from the semi-finals in Goldap. We have all become very close and motivate each other which is needed during these stressful/high pressure times.
All in all the rehearsals for the Big Gala Show are looking great….Can I help it if I love being on Stage ???…hehehe….Love to all Dominika xoxo.

“Holmes Place Energy Club is a spacious and exclusive gym in Warsaw where ‘Fitness World Champion’ Katarzyna Kozakiewicz has been training me in preparation for the Miss Polski Final on 29th August. Other well-known celebrities of Poland also get trained by Kasia …and work out at the same gym, such as Doda (Polish Lady Gaga), Katarzyna Figura (polish actress) and of course a great amount of other famous Polish actors, singers and celebrities…. whose names I cannot remember at the moment…Gotta Go!..more stomach crunches” xxx Kisses from Poland - Dominika Lipinska p.s I will send another diary entry shortly.
Sunday 29th August 2010 marks another significant milestone in the history of Miss Polonia Australia when Dominika Lipinska, the current Miss Polonia Australia, will be participating in the Miss Polski 2010 Final alongside 23 other contestants in Plock, Poland.
Dominika follows in the footsteps of Linda Kowalski(2008) and Natalia Strzelczyk(2009) as only the third Australian contestant ever to be included in either one of the two major Beauty Pageants in Poland, namely the Miss Polski and Miss Polonia titles.
The Office of Miss Polonia Australia is extremely proud of the relationship developed with both the Missland and Miss Polonia organisations in Poland. It is quite unique for an Australian girl to be part of these prestigious contests which determine who will be Polands’ entrant in either the Miss World and Miss Universe Pageants.
This year we are particularly grateful to Mr. Gerhard Parzutka Von Lipinski from the Missland organisation who invited the participation of our Dominika into the semi-finals of the Miss Polski 2010 held in Goldap, Poland recently.
As one can appreciate there is a lot of hardwork behind the scenes on the road into “Miss Polski” but Dominika has been selected to be amongst the Final 24 candidates and now has the chance to participate in the Miss World title later this year if she is crowned Miss Polski 2010.
Currently Dominika is in the midst of a 4 week strict fitness program under the supervision of World Body Fitness Champion Kasia Kozakiewicz at the Holmes Place Gym in the Warsaw Hilton, leaving no stone unturned in her quest for “Body Beautiful” and her “once in a lifetime” opportunity for the Miss Polski 2010 title.
Between the 15th-28th August Dominika will be joining her fellow Miss Polski Finalists and head off for a hectic schedule of rehearsal, publicity and Final preparation at one of the most exclusive resorts in Poland.

Poland’s Kasia Kozakiewicz is the current World Champion in Body Fitness winning the title in Como, Italy in October 2009.
Kasia is also a great supporter of Miss Polonia Australia 2010 Dominika Lipinska and volunteered to fine tune part of Dominika’s physical preparation in qualifying for the Miss Polski Final in Plock, Poland on August 29th 2010.
Dominka wrote to us from Warsaw on her meeting with World Champ Kasia…
“Kasia has coordinated a great personal training program for me to abide by. I am training with her 4 times a week . It seemed hard at first but definitely do-able and I know the results weigh out in the end – so I am not giving up because the Miss Polski competition is a once in a lifetime opportunity.
Kasia is very motivating - I am very glad and thankful to you guys at Miss Polonia-Australia for the opportunity to allow me to give “Miss Polski” my best shot…. Will send a photos of Kasia and I soon.”
The Miss Polski 2010 Beauty Pageant staged the second semi-final grouping in Goldap, Poland on Saturday evening with our own Miss Polonia Australia 2010 Dominika Lipinska putting on her show.
The final 24 candidates for the Miss Polski 2010 Final in Plock, Poland to be held in late August will be selected from both semi-final groups (Shows staged in Olsztyn and Goldap respectively) and announced this coming weekend………. Fingers crossed for our Dominika.

Day 5 & 6:
“Been busy doing dance rehearsals for our Gala Show on Sunday.
Day to day Hair and Makeup is our own responsibility however we have a professional team coming in for both Hair and MakeUp for the Show. Lucy Laurita form Leiela and I picked out two dresses for the Show before I left - a turquoise gown and a purple shorter dress - both very classy and beautiful.
We got to model three outfits at a festival in Morag (small town about 3 hours from where we are staying). You can imagine how much time we spend on our bus each day. We also got to speak over the microphone introducing ourselves to the public, our age and where we were from.
Yesterday we went on a Polish Safari Tour where we saw lots of wildlife such as deer and wild pigs. Some of us were lucky enough to grab a ride on a jet-ski on the river. Later we had a swim at the beach(situated right in front of our ranch) and got to ride water bicycles. Then we watched the World Cup final over dinner.
The food here is splendid.
Some meals include:- pancakes with ricotta cheese and cream, cabbage rolls (golomky) - cabbage leaves filled with mince meat, rice and tomato sauce, pierogi with various fillings, magnificent soups, egg spun cake (sekacz) and lots lots more.
There is a cameraman and photographer who follow us during the day. We are on our way to our first choreography sessionto learn how to walk and dance on stage (with heels).
The Miss Polski Girls are really friendlly and say the same about me. They also ask about kangaroos and koalas a lot - which I find really cute.
I am learning an immense amount aboout the youth in Poland, their culture, their humour….its’ very enjoyable to be around. I feel like I fit right in because we are all extremely similar even though we have grown up on opposite sides of the world.
Overall I am very very “zadowolona”……(very very content). ….Lots of love - Dominika.
Day 3 & 4: Goldap, Poland -
” We are now on a bus going to an event in a small town called Morag near Goldap where we will be wearing cocktail dresses and doing a catwalk presentation.
We are staying at a lovely lodge in the woods overlooking the river(Mazury).
Today is supposed to reach 35 degrees and the sun goes down around 9.30pm this time of the year. It’s amazing in Poland during the summer…very green.
Its’ getting extremely modern since I was last here about 4 years ago….There are construction sites and new infrastructure everywhere as well as heaps of tourists in every street.
A good vibe and atmosphere here.
The girls and Miss Polski organisors are very welcoming and I have made a few friends already.
I am very grateful and enjoying my stay.”
Day 1: Arrived in Warsaw - Thursday 8th July 2010.
” Just arrived in Warsaw after 28 hour flight from Oz.
Mum picked me up from the Airport.

The Miss Polonia Pin Up Girls made a spectacular guest appearance at the “Glamour 2010″ Show held at Lakeside Receptions in Melbourne last Friday evening.
Led by Miss Polonia-Australia 2009 Natalia Strzelczyk(pictured) the Miss Polonia Pin Up Girls also included the fab twins Amelia and Alicja Modzeleweski and newcomers Zofia Krasicki and Delphine Steinberg.
The Pin Up girls were modeling exquisite creations from the latest “Romance” collection by designer Lucy Laurita from Leiela as part of a glittering and entertaining program featuring Australian fashion designers during an evening superbly organised by the talented trio Lidia Robarovska, Sonia Petrevski and Jessica Smugrevski.
The Miss Polonia Pin Up Girls were wonderfully supported by models - Zoe Albrecht, Taylah Rose Doolan, Avion Doolan, Emily Jenkins, Katrina Crewther, Catherine Brandt, Dorothy Maslo, Melissa and Sara Spiteri, Miranda Stokkel, Shama Manohoran….who all featured in stunning Leiela gowns, Estelle Michaelidis headwear, Andrea Agosta and Maryanne Buttigieg Jewelery.
Once again our sincere appreciation to Donna Billing from Hair Extro-Donnaire for her unique Hair Styling and also to Rob Tamburro and his fantastic makeup artist team from Bodyography Australia.
